Any requests for providing information in an accessible format or complaints about the failure to ensure accessibility may be made in the same way.
Everyone has the right to submit a request for digital access to the website, mobile application or the elements thereof. You may also request information to be made accessible through an alternative means of access, for example by having a digitally non-accessible document read out. The request should include personal details of the person making the request, indicate which website or application you are seeking access to, as well as a method of contact with the person making the request. If the person making the request requires information provided via an alternative means of access, they should also indicate the method of presentation of the information that is convenient for them. A public entity should comply with such requests immediately, and no later than within 7 days of the request date. If meeting this deadline is not possible, the public entity should immediately inform the person submitting the request when they can comply with the request, however, this may not last longer than 2 months from the request date. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, the public entity may suggest an alternative means of access. If the public entity denies the request to ensure digital accessibility or an alternative method of access to information, the person submitting the request may file a complaint concerning the accessibility of a website, mobile application or an element thereof. If this procedure results in no effect, a request may also be submitted to the Commissioner for Human Rights.
