GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION
These studies provide students with the knowledge of finance and accounting, the functioning of financial institutions and banks, and the ability to analyse basic economic phenomena and the economic and financial standing of economic entities. The students gain skills of operating computer programmes which are used in accounting and payroll departments. This course is intended for those who want to pursue a career in banking, insurance industry, financial advisory, real estate advisory, tax advisory services, revenue offices.

FUNCTIONING AND FINANCING OF ENTERPRISES
This module enables students to gain detailed competencies in the functioning and financing of enterprises. As such topics covered will include: sources of financing for enterprises, corporate tax, internal audits, chosen aspects of accounting and financial reporting. Other issues which will be examined include: cost accounting, enterprise transformation and the use of optimization methods in business.
The acquired competencies will enable the graduates to find attractive jobs, not only in enterprises, but also financial institutions which deal with business financing, in local government authorities and units, companies offering financial and tax advisory.

ACCOUNTING AND TAXES
This module is intended for those who would like to gain detailed competencies in taxes, accounting and want to learn about the functioning of tax administration. The syllabus covers the following contents: tax law, tax system, including VAT system and corporate tax. The module provides students with the knowledge and skills in the following areas: management accounting, budget entities accounting, NGO accounting, computerised accounting as well as allows them to get to know the international and domestic system of accounting standards.
The acquired competencies will enable the graduates to find attractive jobs, not only in enterprises, but also financial institutions which deal with business financing, in local government authorities and units, companies offering financial and tax advisory.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates who complete the Functioning and Financing of Enterprises module can find employment in manufacturing and service companies, state and local government administration, accounting firms, revenue offices, and are prepared to run their own business. Graduates who complete the Accounting and Taxes module can find employment in companies offering financial and tax advisory, financial departments in companies, revenue offices, as well as start their own business.
