GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION
A graduate of first-cycle engineering studies in the field of Computer Science gains knowledge and skills in the field of general IT issues as well as knowledge and technical IT skills related to computer systems, basics of telecommunications and artificial intelligence. A graduate learns the principles of construction and operation of modern computers and cooperating devices, operating systems, computer networks and relational databases. A graduate is also able to acquire and develop the ability of object-oriented programming (using programming languages such as JAVA, C++), knows the rules of software engineering to a degree that allows effective work in programming teams. Graduates acquire practical skills in designing and implementation of computer games, virtual reality environments, data visualization and graphical user interfaces. Thanks to comprehensive background, a graduate is able to use his knowledge and skills in his professional work in accordance with legal and ethical principles.

DATA PROCESSING AND VISUALIZATION
The module "data processing and visualization" prepares students in the field of database design and operation, computer graphics and data visualization, game development, including 3D virtual reality environment games, image and multimedia processing, website design, the basics of telecommunications and methods of artificial intelligence.

COMPUTER SYSTEMS AND NETWORKS
The module "computer systems and networks" prepares students in the field of design and implementation of computer networks, design and maintenance of database systems, operating and utility systems as well as the basics of telecommunications and network security.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
The graduate is prepared to work in IT and telecommunications companies from the IT / ICT industry dealing with the construction, implementation or maintenance of IT and telecommunications tools and systems, and in other organizations, enterprises and institutions in which such tools and systems are used.
