GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION
This field of study is aimed to prepare would-be managers (supervisors, specialists, experts, advisors, clerks and public officials) for a career in both public and private sectors. The curriculum enables students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills. It is also intended to shape attitudes and behaviours necessary for performing managerial and advisory activities as well as reaching decisions on designing, completing and developing processes that take place in the legal environment and economic sphere.

PUBLIC SERVICES MANAGER
Choosing this module, students gain knowledge and skills related to: municipal economy and organisation of public services; spatial planning; crisis management and protection of critical infrastructure; accounting and financial reporting in public finance sector units; ethics and civil servant law. Graduates can apply relevant management methods and techniques in order to deal with issues typical of public sector organisations (government and self-government administration, state and municipal enterprises). Students acquire specialist knowledge and skills that relate to the functioning of public sector organisations, their transformation, development and cooperation.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates are qualified to find employment in: government and self-government administration units; state and municipal enterprises; budgetary units; public companies; tax administration units; social and health insurance institutions.
Possible positions involve: finance managers, strategy and planning managers, advertising and public relations managers, administration and development specialists, tax officials, social welfare officials, officials of the licensing authorities.

BUSINESS PROCESSES MANAGER
Students who opt for this module gain knowledge and skills related to: designing business models and plans; developing and implementing e-commerce solutions; personnel and payroll issues in an enterprise; accounting and financial reporting in small and medium-sized enterprises; business ethics; forms of business activity. Graduates can apply relevant management methods and techniques in order to deal with issues typical of public sector organisations. Students acquire specialist knowledge and skills that relate to the functioning of public sector organisations, their transformation, development and cooperation.
CAREER OPPORTUNITIES
Graduates who have completed this module are qualified to take up employment in: production, trading or service providing companies; financial institutions; consulting companies; public administration institutions. They are also prepared to run their own business activity.
